I currently hold a PhD scholarship in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences in the IRIS group led by Prof. Chiara Vitale-Brovarone. I achieved the Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, with the experimental thesis titled “Design and optimization of hybrid formulations based on PLLA and inorganic phases for 3D printing of bone scaffolds”. Part of the experimental work of my thesis was conducted at Newcastle University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom, under the supervision of Prof. Kenny Dalgarno. The aim was to develop composite materials based on polymeric matrices and inorganic phases with the ability to release pro-osteogenic ions to improve bone regeneration.

I am presently involved in the H2020 GIOTTO project where my research activity is focused on the synthesis and functionalization of bioactive nanomatrices for bone tissue regeneration and the development of composite formulations for electrospinning applications. Alongside, I am currently working on the optimization of a vertebral STL file, extracted from TAC scans and elaborated via Nanocomputed Tomography instrument, in order to fabricate a bone model through two different Additive Manufacturing technologies, 3D printing and stereolithography.
