I graduated in Materials Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2018, completing my master’s thesis titled “3D Printing of Bioactive Glass Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Repair” in collaboration with Tampere University of Technology. The focus of my work was on developing a bioactive glass loaded ink and the processing of porous scaffolds using direct-writing 3D printing techniques. Between 2018 and 2022, I pursued my Ph.D. studies, successfully defending my thesis in July 2022. Titled “Exploring Proteins in Roughland: Adsorption of Proteins on Biomaterials for Osseointegration,” my research delved into the adsorption of serum proteins on various titanium surfaces and bioactive glasses intended for osseointegration. During this period, I gained expertise in titanium surface modification as well as several surface characterization techniques.
Since 2023, I have been actively engaged as a postdoctoral researcher in the EU HORIZON project REBORN. My primary focus lies in the production of polymeric fibrous scaffolds for myocardial regeneration. Additionally, I delve into structural characterization using micro tomography.
