A new publication by IRIS group has been released within the H2020 GIOTTO project

We are pleased to share our new publication in collaboration with H2020 GIOTTO partner NOVAICOS entitled “Sr-Containing Mesoporous Bioactive Glasses Bio-Functionalized with Recombinant ICOS-Fc: An In Vitro Study”. The article has been published in the Special Issue of “Biomaterials Tailoring at the Nanoscale for Tissue Engineering and Advanced Therapies” of Nanomaterials.

It shows that the combination of ICOS-Fc with the intrinsic properties of Sr-containing Mesoporous Bioactive Glasses (MBGs) developed in GIOTTO represents a very promising approach to design personalized solutions for patients affected by compromised bone remodeling (i.e., osteoporosis fractures).
