The ERC BOOST project addresses the worldwide issue of osteoporosis using an innovative engineering approach, based on biomimetic, smart nanomaterials, architecture design and implementation into 3D scaffolds of suitable biochemical signals.
In the ERC BOOST project we want to approach the treatment of osteoporosis with a new, creative concept, with the idea of rebalancing the coupling of Oc and Ob by recreating, through a smart scaffold, the physical-chemical constraints that contribute to coordinate the bone resorption and formation processes.
